Ellie has been on the Board of ArtHouse Studio (AHS) since its inception, as the treasurer of the Board. Her involvement with the mission of AHS started when Ellie’s two children attended elementary school with Julie Stover’s (AHS’ Founder and Executive Director) children and attended classes taught by Julie at AHS’ predecessor, ArtHouse Kids. Those children are now fully fledged adults, but still credit Julie’s classes with their love of art and working knowledge of famous artists. And Ellie saw firsthand the power of teaching kids about art and creativity. With a background in accounting and tax, Ellie helped Julie shepherd the application for AHS’ exempt status through the long IRS process and has been assisting with financial matters since then. Born and raised in San Jose, CA, Ellie recently moved to the mountains of Southwest Colorado, where she and her husband are enjoying the beautiful scenery and abundant outdoor activities in the region.
